Bowflex IC Bike SE – Sleek Design Meets Heavy-Duty Flywheel for Smoothness

After three months on the Bowflex IC Bike SE, this bike impressed me with how smooth and quiet it rides, thanks largely to its 36-pound flywheel. The console is larger and more colorful than the C6’s, and it syncs nicely with apps like JRNY, Peloton, and Zwift. The IC SE is heavier and less portable, but I found it to be very durable and comfortable with 4-way adjustability.

A top-tier, rear-flywheel indoor bike known for its quiet, smooth, and adjustable ride. Its self-powered design doesn’t need electricity, adding convenience. The M3i’s robust build and reliable performance make it a favorite among serious cyclists and fitness enthusiasts.
I’ve ridden the Keiser M3i in cycling classes over the last year, and while it’s pricier—close to $3,000—it’s built to last. Featuring a V-shaped frame and gear-based resistance system with 24 levels, it feels different from magnetic knob resistance bikes but delivers challenging rides. The M3i doesn’t require electricity, which adds a layer of convenience. It fits a wide range of riders, especially those up to 7’ tall.
I recommend this bike if you want commercial-grade reliability and don’t mind investing up front.

Sunny SF-B1709 – Compact Size and Great Value for Small Spaces
Not only does it look great, but it offers such a lovely ride, and the experience it gives is very personal and does feel like a spin bike, not a cheap exercise bike.
The Sunny SF-B1709 caught my eye as a very affordable and compact bike for apartments and smaller rooms. It uses magnetic resistance with a quiet belt drive and is easy to assemble. It lacks some bells and whistles but provides a smooth ride and decent adjustability.

Merach S19 Recumbent – Comfort-Focused with Recumbent Seating
The Merach S19 Recumbent Bike is a fantastic value for the affordability of this bike. I still can’t believe that this model is below $500 because of the level of its craftsmanship.
For those who prefer a recumbent style, I tested the Merach S19 Recumbent Bike for 45 days. It offers a comfortable seating position and is easy on the joints, great for rehabilitation or low-impact workouts. It includes 22 resistance levels and basic connectivity features.
If comfort and low-impact workouts are your priority, this bike deserves a look.
